Karen Murphy is an empathetic and approachable Clinical Psychologist. Karen comes from a background in Community Mental Health, with a strong focus on Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Family Counselling, and Post Trauma Recovery.
Karen is dedicated to understanding the individual needs of clients and their aspiration for change, whilst acknowledging and respecting their life context. Karen’s approach is warm and supportive, allowing her to build a safe environment for clients to explore their feelings, experiences and goals.
Karen’s approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Imagery Re-scripting and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Karen has also completed extensive training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a transdiagnostic modality, but also specifically for post trauma recovery.
