Kane Becker is an accomplished young mental health practitioner holding a Bachelor of Psychological science and a Graduate Diploma of Psychological science (4thyear Honours). Kane is a member of the Psychological Board of Australia, and currently works as a Provisional Psychologist in a range of diverse settings with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.
Kane is an enthusiastic and approachable young man with excellent communication skills, providing professional yet grounded and comforting individual-based treatment and assessment. Kane is committed to helping his clients to develop effective strategies and skills to tackle any issues that may be brought up throughout the therapy process. Kane’s goals for each of his clients is to aid them in the development of skills, knowledge and effective strategies so they may better manage their own difficulties and challenges following the completion of the therapy process. Kane is a passionate believer in including his clients within the therapy process as much as possible, he feels this aids in the therapy process and achievement of their therapeutic goals, particularly regarding the clients’ positive outlook towards their own therapy.
Kane tailors each therapy session to meet his individual client’s own therapeutic needs, utilising a variety of contemporary models and therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness and Solution-Focused therapy. Kane has a keen interest in Child and Adolescent Psychology, Health Psychology, ASD, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, loneliness and isolation issues, anxiety and mood disorders, and depression.
